Visit Instructions: STI Testing (Full Screen)
A full screening includes tests for the most common Sexually Transmitted Infections
(STIs), including: Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis and HIV. Urine and blood samples
are collected and sent to a lab for testing.
We offer confidential HIV antibody testing with pre- and post-test consultation. You can
choose between a rapid test (results available that day) and blood test (sent to the lab,
and the results come back within a few weeks). All HIV results must be given in person,
so if you opt for the blood test we send the test to the lab and another appointment will
be scheduled to get the results.
Important Considerations Before Your Appointment:
Testing should be done two weeks after possible exposure for Gonorrhea and
Chlamydia for the urine based test and 90 days for possible exposure for blood
testing.
If you are having your menstrual cycle or vaginal bleeding, Gonorrhea and
Chlamydia testing cannot be performed.
For the urine test, please do not urinate for an hour before your visit.
