Beth ‘Dew Drop’ Stokley
Camp Timberlane Director
Beth attributes her life lled
with adventures and exploring
to Girl Scouts. She is passionate
about exploring the natural world,
particularly with children. As a result,
she has worked in several states as an Outdoor
Instructor, leading childrens excursions through
State and National Parks, and encouraging them to
explore and engage with their surroundings. Her love
of the outdoors can be traced to her home camp as
a Girl Scout, Camp Timberlane, where she has fond
memories of service unit camp outs and summer
camp over nights. She started working at Camp
Timberlane as a Kitchen Aid and worked her way
up to Camp Director. Beth attended Wright State
University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in
Earth and Environmental Science. She wholeheartedly
believes Girl Scout camp is a special place where girls
can try new things and be silly, while learning about
themselves and the world
around them. She’s looking
forward to seeing you all
at camp and on
the trails this
summer!
Julia ‘Blondie’ Koenig
Camp Ledgewood Director
Julias Girl Scout journey began in
second grade—as a Brownie—in
Springboro, Ohio. She grew up
attending Camp Stonybrook, where
she worked through the Program Aide
and Counselor in Training programs. She
realized early on what a profound impact Girl Scouts
can create. Julia says her passion for spontaneity,
authenticity, and courage were all sparked at Girl Scout
camp. She worked as a member of camp staff at
Camp Libbey and Camp Whip Poor Will, and oversaw
Community Day Camps as a Program Manager at Girl
Scouts of Western Ohio in Toledo. With a passion for
fostering independence, growth, and empowerment,
Julia brings a vibrant energy to her new role as
Camp Director with GSNEO. She believes that nature
brings out the best in people, especially youth. She
has watched the camp experience transform Girl
Scouts by pushing them into new challenges; building
character, teamwork, and self-discovery. Julia earned
her bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Oxford,
Ohio. Her leadership style is marked by inclusivity and
innovation, constantly seeking new ways to enrich the
camping experience for every Girl Scout. Julia loves to
stargaze, hang out on the high ropes course, and make
friendship bracelets. She is excited to see the joy that
camp will bring this year!

Dear Caregivers,
Welcome to Girl Scouts of North East Ohios 2024
Summer Camp Guide! We can’t wait to return to camp
this summer for more Girl Scout adventures and to
connect with old friends while making new ones.
Camp is more than just a summer getaway; it’s a
vibrant time of discovery, growth, friendship, and
independence while making memories that will last
a lifetime. Each day at camp is a new opportunity for
exploration and learning. For laughter that echoes
through the trees. And for discovering the wonders
of nature.
No matter which camp(s) your Girl Scout chooses—
or whether she stays a day, a week, or longer—our
qualied camp staff are committed to fostering a
safe environment where campers can be themselves,
interact with girls (and adults) from different
backgrounds, and develop outdoor skills. We regularly
review guidance from the American Camp Association
(ACA), the State of Ohio, and local health departments
to create an operating plan for the safest experience for
your camper.
Our 2024 summer camps meet girls where they are,
with tons of programming options to choose from!
With every Girl Scout program, we encourage girls
to step out of their comfort zones and build courage,
condence, and character that will stay with them long
after the summer sun sets
Yours in Girl Scouting,
GSNEO Camp Staff

spent by a camper
at the Trading Post?
A camper spends about $15-$35 per
week. But the average amount given to
a camper for their Trading Post is $25.
Is Trading Post
money required?
No, it is not mandatory. Notably, we
do nd that the girls love to be able
to purchase a keepsake from the
Trading Post.
What is the purpose
of the Trading Post?

merchandise to create lasting
memories of her time at Girl Scout
