The Ohio Turnpike & Infrastructure Commission is seeking Full Time Toll Collectors to work in our Toll Operations
Department at Central District Toll Interchanges in the Lorain County Area.

Starting rate of pay is $22.95 per hour. Annual step increases up to a current maximum rate of $29.88.

Duties Include:
Follows all rules, regulations and procedures as set forth in the Toll Operations Manual.
Operates Toll Collector Interface to process toll collection including cash, credit card and
electronic transactions.
Maintains accuracy in processing toll transactions.
Provides concise, pertinent information in written fashion on a daily basis.
Works closely with fellow toll collectors and supervisors.
Demonstrates attention to security and safety of toll plaza staff and customers.
Maintains proper care of all Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission equipment and
property.
Keeps immediate work area neat and clean at all times.
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the Toll Plaza Supervisor or the Assistant Toll
Plaza Supervisor.
Major Worker Characteristics:
Knowledge of toll plaza operations; Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission policies and
procedures*; Toll Operations Manual*; rules and regulations pertaining to traffic control*.
Basic math skills to maintain accurate cash and credit card performance.
Skill in the operation of a Toll Collector Interface.
Ability to work with the general public in a polite and professional manner at all times.
To report for work as assigned - ready, willing and able to perform duties in an efficient and proper
manner.
Follow safety and security precautions.
Verbal ability to convey requested information from toll plaza customers and to use radio
communication equipment in a clear and concise manner.
Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, bend and reach various heights, lift boxes of
tickets and monies.
Manual dexterity to operate Toll Collector Interface and to receive money and distribute change.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
Prior experience working with customers, experience as a cashier or working with money would
be helpful in this position.
Unusual Working Conditions
Must be available to work twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week including weekends and holidays
in accordance with the established collective bargaining agreement. Required to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift boxes of tickets and monies and bend and reach various heights.
